About Andrew Sasson

As founder of The Light Group in Las Vegas, Andrew Sasson runs one of the city’s best-known names in bar, restaurant, and nightclub hospitality, offering guests an unparalleled level of VIP treatment. Launching The Light Group in 2001, Andrew Sasson soon established the company as a leading provider of nightlife entertainment with its first property, Light Nightclub at the Bellagio, which introduced bottle service to the Las Vegas Strip. Following the success of Light Nightclub, Sasson and his colleagues opened other properties within the Bellagio and other major Las Vegas hotels and casinos, including Caramel Lounge and Bar, Mist Lounge at Treasure Island, and FIX Restaurant & Bar, the first of The Light Group’s several restaurants. Since then, Sasson has expanded The Light Group’s portfolio into such Vegas fixtures as Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, The Mirage, CityCenter, and the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, as well as the Miami-based Delano Hotel and the Dubai International Financial Centre. Today, The Light Group operates more than 20 innovative and popular nightclubs, dining establishments, and beach/pool lounges frequented by high-profile figures in entertainment, sports, and business.

An individual with a lifelong connection to the hospitality industry, Andrew Sasson learned the finer points of operations management as a teenager working at his family’s restaurant in Palma, Majorca. He transitioned into nightclubs in college as a doorman at Velvet in Miami. After this apprenticeship, he opened his first venture, Jet Lounge, in New York City. As a testament to his accomplishments in hospitality development and management, Sasson has been inducted into the USA Nightclub Hall of Fame.
